August 8 Tragedy a Dark Chapter in Balochistan’s History, Martyrs’ Sacrifices Will Always Be Remembered: Ziaullah Langau
QUETTA: Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has described the August 8 tragedy as a deeply painful and dark chapter in the province’s history, paying tribute to the martyrs on the 10th anniversary of the incident.
In a statement issued on the occasion, the minister said August 8 marked a tragic day when a horrific terrorist attack at Quetta’s Civil Hospital resulted in the loss of precious human lives.
He said the wounds of the August 8 tragedy were still fresh and that the incident deprived Balochistan of prominent lawyers, journalists and other talented individuals, causing an irreparable loss to the province.
Mir Ziaullah Langau said the sacrifices of the martyrs were a great example for the nation and would always be remembered.
Unprecedented Sacrifices Against Terrorism
The Balochistan interior minister said the people of the province and security forces had made unprecedented sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
He said efforts to establish peace were continuing because of these sacrifices and vowed that measures to eliminate terrorism would continue without interruption.
He added that the nefarious designs of the enemies would be thwarted at all costs.
Paying tribute to all the martyrs of the August 8 tragedy, Mir Ziaullah Langau said the entire nation deeply valued their sacrifices and that their memories would remain alive forever.
