Errors Found in Initial Post-Mortem Report of Mir Raza Ali, Raising Fears of Flawed Investigation

Karachi: Alleged discrepancies have emerged in the initial post-mortem report of young businessman Mir Raza Ali, raising concerns that the investigation into his death could be compromised.

According to sources familiar with the medico-legal examination, photographs of the body reportedly show a small bullet wound on the lower back and a larger wound on the chest. The sources claimed these observations are inconsistent with details recorded in the preliminary report.

The images also allegedly show the fingers of the victim’s left hand clenched around broken grass, while suspicious marks were reportedly visible on the right hand. In addition, a wound was said to be visible beneath the chin.

Sources further stated that the post-mortem findings indicated the body was approximately 24 to 36 hours old at the time of examination.

They also claimed that the report described the bullet entry wound as larger than the exit wound, while the photographic evidence allegedly suggests the bullet entered from the back and exited through the front.

According to the sources, the body appeared swollen and the face was severely disfigured in the photographs. They maintained that a detailed examination of the head could have helped determine the cause of the facial injuries.

The reported inconsistencies have raised concerns among sources that shortcomings in the initial post-mortem documentation could affect the course of the investigation. No official response from the relevant authorities has been issued regarding these claims.
