Karachi District West to Celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Events

Karachi: District West administration has decided to celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with enthusiasm and grandeur, with a series of patriotic events planned across the district.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner West Ali Zulfiqar Memon, which was attended by Assistant Commissioners, Town Chairmen, the District Health Officer, and officials from various government departments.
The meeting decided that the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and other government buildings across District West would be decorated with national flags, with the flag-hoisting campaign already underway.
On August 14, official celebrations will include a flag-hoisting ceremony, cake-cutting event, and a variety of Independence Day programs in schools. Additional activities at the town and school levels have also been planned to encourage public participation and promote the spirit of patriotism.
Deputy Commissioner Ali Zulfiqar Memon directed all government officers and staff to wear Independence Day badges and display the national flag on their official and personal vehicles, including motorcycles, from now until August 14.
He emphasized that every government institution should take part in the celebrations to ensure the country’s 79th Independence Day is observed in a befitting and memorable manner.
