PPP Leaders Reject Calls for New Provinces, Warn Against Dividing Sindh

Karachi:Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader **Nisar Khuhro** has accused certain elements of attempting to create political instability through controversial statements, warning that any move to divide Sindh would face strong public resistance.
Speaking to the media, Khuhro said Interior Minister **Mohsin Naqvi** first met with the President before making what he described as a controversial statement. He alleged that such remarks were part of an attempt to disturb the country’s political environment.
“There is a serious conspiracy underway,” Khuhro said, questioning whether creating multiple new provinces would require appointing dozens of new chief ministers. He added that those advocating the division of Sindh would have to face the public’s reaction.
Separately, Sindh Senior Minister **Saeed Ghani** said that if the people and elected representatives of Sindh believe no new provinces should be created in the province, then no such divisions should take place.
He added that if the Punjab Assembly has passed a resolution supporting the creation of new provinces, it reflects the wishes of the people of Punjab, and any decision regarding new provinces should be made according to the will of the respective province’s residents.
