Alleged Honey Trap Scheme Reported in Quetta’s Nawan Killi; Citizens Urge Transparent Investigation
QUETTA: Reports have emerged from Quetta’s Nawan Killi area alleging that a group is targeting citizens through an alleged honey trap scheme.
According to complaints filed by some affected individuals, certain women allegedly approach young men under various pretexts, such as requesting a lift, seeking assistance to reach a hospital, or claiming other emergencies, to persuade them to stop their vehicles.
The complainants allege that once the vehicle is stopped, several individuals arrive at the scene and take the victim to a house, where he is allegedly held against his will.
It is further alleged that the police are then informed and told that the individual had unlawfully entered the house. Subsequently, the victim is reportedly asked to pay a substantial amount of money in the name of a settlement or compromise to resolve the matter.
The affected individuals have called upon law enforcement agencies to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the complaints and to take strict legal action against those involved if the allegations are found to be true.
Police sources have advised citizens to avoid accompanying strangers to isolated locations or unknown residences upon request and to immediately contact the relevant police or emergency services if they encounter any suspicious situation.
