Balochistan Home Minister Calls for Political Dialogue and Strengthening of Parliamentary Democracy
Quetta: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has said that the government has never refused dialogue and negotiations, emphasizing that lasting solutions to all political and social issues can only be achieved through democratic and parliamentary processes. He stressed that differences of opinion on matters of national interest should be viewed as part of a positive political process rather than being labeled as anti-state sentiments.
He expressed these views while speaking with delegations of political and tribal elders. The Home Minister stated that parliamentary politics provides the most effective platform for diverse political forces to present their views, concerns, and demands within the constitutional framework.
Mir Ziaullah Langau said that political differences are the essence of democracy and serve as an important means of improving policymaking and finding sustainable solutions to public issues. He added that whenever the country faces major challenges or matters concerning national interests, it becomes imperative for all political forces to unite on a common platform.
He emphasized that national unity and collective efforts are essential to overcoming the challenges facing the country and paving the way for progress and prosperity.
The Home Minister noted that Parliament is not only the center of public representation but also the institution responsible for legislation, policymaking, and determining the nation’s direction. He urged all political and religious parties and their leaders to place their trust in the parliamentary system and play a constructive role in strengthening democratic institutions.
Mir Ziaullah Langau further said that the need of the hour is to promote politics based on dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect rather than confrontation, adding that such an approach is vital for building a strong, stable, and united Pakistan.
