Iran Warns of Offensive Response if U.S. Continues Military Strikes
TEHRANضA senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader has warned that Tehran could shift to an offensive military strategy if the United States continues attacks on Iranian territory over the coming days.
Speaking to Iranian state television, **Major General Mohsen Rezaei**, an adviser to Supreme Leader **Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei**, said the policy of pursuing negotiations alongside military confrontation had come to an end.
He warned that if the United States continued its military operations for another two to three days, Iran would launch a full-scale offensive response against its adversaries.
Rezaei accused U.S. President **Donald Trump** of violating bilateral understandings, claiming that the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington was now “virtually dead.”
He alleged that the United States had breached the agreement through continued support for Israel, failure to respect Iran’s sovereignty, non-release of Iranian assets, and other actions that Tehran considers violations of previous commitments.
According to Rezaei, Washington signed the framework agreement only to increase pressure on Iran and force it into making concessions. He added that after the Islamabad negotiations, the United States simultaneously pursued diplomacy and military action, but Iran now considers that approach to be over.
He also claimed that the U.S. military used the ceasefire period to strengthen its military capabilities, while emphasizing that Iran’s armed forces were prepared to respond with full force to any further aggression.
Separately, Iran’s Armed Forces said in a statement carried by state media that if the United States launches additional attacks on Iranian infrastructure, Tehran would target American companies operating in countries that allow U.S. forces to use their territory.
