Wars Are Won Through Faith, Unity and Discipline, Not Media Rhetoric: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Islamabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that wars are won through faith, unity, and discipline, not through media rhetoric or political slogans, reaffirming the Pakistan Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining operational readiness against evolving security challenges.
Addressing graduates of the National Security and War Course during a visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, the Field Marshal said the Pakistan Armed Forces are continuously modernizing their strategy, capabilities, and professional preparedness in line with the changing nature of warfare and emerging security requirements.
He praised the National Defence University for its vital role in training future military and civilian leadership, describing the institution as an important pillar in strengthening national security and state institutions.
Emphasizing the importance of strategic clarity, effective planning, and professional preparedness, Asim Munir said these elements are essential for successfully addressing the challenges of modern warfare.
The Field Marshal also stated that Pakistan is fully aware of attempts by hostile intelligence agencies to destabilize the country. He said the state would not allow enemy proxy networks to undermine Pakistan’s peace, stability, or economic development.
He further asserted that cross-border terrorism would be dealt with using the full strength of the state, adding that safe havens of terrorists and their facilitators would be eliminated.
During his address, Asim Munir said, “Wars are not won through media rhetoric or political slogans, but through faith, unity, and discipline.”
He expressed complete confidence in the professionalism, high morale, and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces, stating that they are fully capable of confronting any challenge facing the country.
