Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Reaches Ziarat by Road Without Bulletproof Vehicle, Pledges Support for Martyrs’ Families

Quetta/Ziarat: Mir Sarfraz Bugti traveled to Ziarat by road in a non-bulletproof vehicle to review the law and order situation, chair a high-level security meeting, and express condolences to the families of police personnel killed in the recent terrorist attack.
Speaking to the media before his departure, the chief minister said the fight against terrorism had entered a decisive phase and assured that the provincial government would not abandon the people during difficult times.
“Wherever a citizen of Balochistan is in distress, I will personally go to them,” Bugti said, adding that despite the challenging security situation, the government would continue to fulfill its responsibilities.
Explaining his decision to travel without a bulletproof vehicle, he said that if police and security personnel were confronting terrorists without such protection, his conscience would not allow him to travel in one. He added that life and death are in the hands of God and reaffirmed his solidarity with the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
Bugti said he was visiting Ziarat to share the grief of the martyrs’ families, offer them support, and assure them that the government stood with them. He announced that the Government of Balochistan would take full responsibility for the education, financial support, and future welfare of the children of the fallen police personnel.
“The children of our martyrs will never be made to feel orphaned,” he said.
The chief minister paid tribute to the bravery of the police officers who, he said, fought courageously until their last breath. He added that the people of Balochistan had united against terrorism and would continue to stand with the country’s security forces.
He also announced that a full-scale operation had been launched against militants in the Zarghoon and adjoining areas, with the Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police conducting joint operations.
Bugti emphasized that terrorists responsible for the killing of innocent civilians and security personnel deserved no leniency and vowed that operations against them would continue until their logical conclusion.
Calling terrorism a national challenge, he urged political parties and all segments of society to support the government’s efforts rather than politicize tragic incidents, stressing that national unity is essential to restoring lasting peace in Balochistan.
