Balochistan Bar Council Member Rahib Khan Baloch Condemns Hanna Urak Attack, Announces Support for Protest Sit-in

Quetta: Advocate Rahib Khan Baloch, a member of the Balochistan Bar Council, former Vice Chairman of the council, and former member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, has strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attack in Hanna Urak, Quetta, describing the killing of innocent civilians as a “crime against humanity” and an unforgivable act.

In a statement, Rahib Khan Baloch said the attack, which claimed the lives of more than ten innocent people, was deeply tragic. He stated that such acts of terrorism are not only against the spirit of Pakistan’s Constitution but also a direct assault on citizens’ fundamental constitutional right to life.

He emphasized that it is the state’s primary responsibility to ensure the protection of every citizen’s life and property and to bring those responsible for terrorist attacks to justice under the law.

Expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, he prayed for the departed souls to be granted the highest place in paradise, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved families.

Rahib Khan Baloch also declared his full support for the peaceful sit-in organized by the residents and local stakeholders of Hanna Urak on Airport Road, calling it a constitutional and democratic right. He criticized both the federal and provincial governments, alleging that they had failed to provide adequate security and protect the public.

He said repeated incidents of violence, including the abduction and killing of local residents, had created fear and insecurity among the people. Reaffirming his support for the ongoing protest led by local tribal communities, he urged the government to take immediate and effective measures to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
