Pakistan Expressway on N-25 Reflects Nation’s Deep Commitment to Balochistan: CM Sarfraz Bugti

**Quetta:** Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that the construction of the **Pakistan Expressway on the N-25 highway** is a clear symbol of the deep emotional bond and collective commitment of the people of Pakistan towards Balochistan.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the **Quetta–Karachi Highway (N-25)** and several development projects on Thursday, initiated by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the chief minister said that the resources for the project were provided by the entire country, yet no objections were raised over funds being allocated to Balochistan. “This reflects the special affection of people across Pakistan for Balochistan,” he added.

CM Bugti, while addressing the prime minister, appreciated his leadership, his political party, the President of Pakistan, and their consistent commitment to national unity. He said that the prime minister had directed the **Frontier Works Organisation (FWO)** to complete the Pakistan Expressway project within **two years**.

On behalf of the Balochistan government, CM Bugti assured full cooperation to the federal government, the Ministry of Communications, the **National Highway Authority (NHA)**, and all concerned institutions. He pledged that the provincial government, in coordination with security forces, would provide all required support to ensure the timely completion of the project.

Referring to security concerns often associated with Balochistan, the chief minister said the province has both the **capacity and capability** to successfully complete large-scale development projects. He cited the example of highways built in southern Balochistan, including the **M-8 motorway**, where sacrifices were made by workers and security forces, yet the project was completed successfully.

CM Bugti also thanked the prime minister for initiating the **Danish Schools network in Balochistan**, recalling that the project was first launched in Punjab during Shehbaz Sharif’s tenure as chief minister. He said that students from his area had previously benefited from Danish Schools in Punjab, and it was a long-standing desire to establish similar institutions in Balochistan. He expressed satisfaction that approval has now been granted for the establishment of **more than five Danish Schools** in the province.

“These schools will provide quality education to children from poor and deserving families in Balochistan and help them become productive citizens of Pakistan,” he said.

The chief minister further disclosed that out of the **Rs1,000 billion federal development budget**, Balochistan has been allocated **Rs300 billion** for development projects, along with an additional **Rs250 billion**, which he said exceeds the province’s constitutional share. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the prime minister and his team on behalf of the people of Balochistan for this unprecedented support.

Concluding his address, CM Bugti thanked the prime minister for visiting Quetta and laying the foundation stone of these vital development projects, terming them a milestone in Balochistan’s journey towards progress and prosperity.
