JUI-F Leaders Visit Hanna Urak Victims, Demand Immediate Action to Restore Security in Balochistan

A delegation of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), led by provincial chief Maulana Abdul Wasey and Opposition Leader Mir Younis Aziz Zehri, visited the victims of the Hanna Urak incident to offer condolences to the families of those killed, inquire about the injured, and express solidarity with participants of the ongoing protest.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Abdul Wasey described the incident as a national tragedy, saying repeated visits to grieving families reflected the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan. He said the province had witnessed significant bloodshed and urged authorities to ensure the protection of people’s lives, property, and dignity.

The JUI-F leader said his party was not seeking development projects or special concessions but demanded that the government fulfill its constitutional responsibility to safeguard citizens and prevent them from being left vulnerable to militant violence.

He criticized the provincial government’s handling of law and order, alleging that security had deteriorated in several parts of Balochistan. He questioned why effective action was not taken despite reports that residents of Hanna Urak and surrounding areas had been raising security concerns for weeks before the attack.

Maulana Abdul Wasey called for the immediate and safe recovery of all abducted persons, decisive action against those responsible for the attack and their facilitators, and stronger security measures to protect affected communities. He also urged the government to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

He added that JUI-F has been consulting other political parties on the security situation and has formed a political committee to coordinate a joint strategy. Reaffirming the party’s support for the victims’ families and protesters, he said JUI-F would continue pursuing the matter through political, parliamentary, constitutional, and public forums until justice is served and lasting peace is restored in Balochistan.
