Training on Computerized Electoral Rolls System (SRS) Kicks Off in Quetta for Election Officers

Quetta:A two-day, step-by-step training session for all Regional Election Commissioners, District Election Commissioners, and Election Officers on the Computerized Electoral Rolls System (SRS) has commenced in Quetta. The training was officially inaugurated by the Provincial Election Commissioner of Balochistan, Ali Asghar Sial.

In his inaugural address, the Provincial Election Commissioner emphasized the importance of error-free electoral lists as the foundation for clean and transparent elections. He highlighted the crucial role of all field officers, particularly Registration Officers, in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.

With the recent biometric integration in SRS, the system’s efficiency and accuracy are expected to improve significantly, bringing more innovation to the electoral process. Ali Asghar Sial also underscored that the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan envisions leveraging technology to modernize the operations of the Election Commission. This vision has led to the successful completion of several key IT projects in a short span of time.

The Provincial Election Commissioner urged all officers to actively engage in the training program to ensure smooth execution of tasks in the field without facing any difficulties. The initiative marks a significant step towards making the electoral process more transparent, accurate, and technologically advanced.
