Iran Vows to Pursue Legal and Diplomatic Action Following Reported Funeral of Ali Khamenei

Tehran:Iran’s Foreign Ministry has pledged to pursue legal, diplomatic, and political efforts against the United States and Israel following the reported funeral ceremonies for Iran’s Supreme Leader, **Ayatollah Ali Khamenei**, according to the source report.

The statement was issued after large crowds of mourners reportedly gathered in Tehran carrying red flags, a symbol associated in Shiite tradition with seeking justice for a slain person. According to the report, many participants chanted slogans calling for retaliation against the United States and former U.S. President **Donald Trump**.

In its statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said it would continue seeking justice through international legal, diplomatic, and political channels and described the issue as a lasting national priority for Iran.

The ministry further stated that it would use all available international mechanisms to hold accountable those it considers responsible for Khamenei’s reported death.

According to the statement, the participation of high-level government and religious delegations from across the region and around the world in the reported funeral ceremonies reflected Khamenei’s international standing and solidarity with the Iranian people.

The ministry also reiterated Iran’s position that Khamenei and members of his family were killed in what it described as a joint U.S.-Israeli operation, calling it a serious violation of international law. The statement said Iran intends to continue raising the issue before international forums while exploring legal avenues to pursue those it considers responsible.

It further claimed that representatives from more than 100 countries attended the ceremonies, describing their presence as a sign of international support and respect for Iran. The ministry also said the large turnout of mourners in Tehran demonstrated the deep connection many Iranians felt with their former Supreme Leader.
