Two Burn to Death After Iranian Oil-Laden Vehicle Catches Fire in Washuk Crash

Basima: Two people were killed after a vehicle carrying Iranian oil caught fire following a serious road accident near Waheed Mor on the Nag–Basima Road in Washuk district, Balochistan.

According to reports, the oil-laden vehicle was traveling from Nag to Basima when it was involved in a devastating crash. Moments after the accident, the vehicle burst into flames, with the fire rapidly engulfing it.

Witnesses said the blaze spread within seconds due to the highly flammable fuel, completely destroying the vehicle. The driver and another person traveling with him were trapped inside and died at the scene after suffering severe burns.

Local residents attempted to extinguish the fire and rescue the occupants, but the intensity of the flames and the combustible cargo made it impossible to approach the vehicle safely. Rescue teams and local authorities were informed, but by the time they arrived, the vehicle had already been reduced to ashes.

Police and administrative officials said the bodies of the two victims were so badly burned that they could not be immediately identified. The remains have been handed over to the relevant authorities for legal formalities, while efforts are underway to establish their identities.

According to eyewitnesses, the burned vehicle’s frame number, 5330, has been recovered, and authorities have begun tracing its registration details and ownership to help identify the victims.

Officials said investigations are continuing, with possible causes including speeding, poor road conditions, mechanical failure, or other factors. The exact cause of the accident will be determined after a detailed inquiry.

Authorities have collected evidence from the scene and are examining all aspects of the incident. The accident temporarily disrupted traffic on the Nag–Basima highway, but the road was later reopened after the burned wreckage was cleared by local authorities and residents.
