Five Suspected Militants Killed in Intelligence-Based Operation in Balochistan’s Mach Area

Rawalpindi/Quetta: Pakistani security forces killed five suspected militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mach area of Kachhi district, Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched in the Dasht Siah Pasht area after intelligence reports indicated the presence of armed militants.
ISPR said security forces carried out a targeted operation, during which an intense exchange of fire took place between troops and the suspected militants. As a result, five suspected militants were killed. Some official statements described the group as being affiliated with what authorities refer to as “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
The military said the operation was conducted in difficult mountainous terrain, where security forces surrounded suspected hideouts and successfully secured control of the area using coordinated tactics.
Searches of multiple locations were also carried out to trace any additional militants who may have been present.
According to ISPR, a clearance and sanitization operation is continuing, with security personnel conducting a thorough search of the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
The military stated that intelligence-based operations are aimed at preventing terrorist activities and ensuring the safety of civilians, adding that similar operations are continuing in sensitive areas across Balochistan based on actionable intelligence.
ISPR said the identities of those killed, along with details regarding any weapons or other material recovered during the operation, will be released after the investigation and search operation are completed.
Meanwhile, security has been further tightened in the area, and authorities said they are closely monitoring the situation. Officials also urged the public to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies and to avoid spreading unverified information or rumors.
