Customs Foil Attempt to Smuggle Human Hair Worth Over Rs1.3 Million, One Suspect Arrested

Nasirabad: Customs authorities have foiled an attempt to illegally transport 45 kilograms of human hair worth more than Rs1.35 million in Balochistan’s Nasirabad district, arresting one suspect and registering a case under the Customs Act.
According to customs officials, the seized consignment has an estimated local market value of Rs1.35 million, while its value in international markets is believed to be significantly higher.
Authorities said the suspect had allegedly collected the human hair from various parts of Balochistan at low prices and was transporting it to Punjab. Officials believe the hair was intended to be processed into wigs before being exported or smuggled to overseas markets, particularly China and other international destinations.
Customs officials said the consignment was seized during an enforcement operation, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect for alleged violations of the Customs Act.
Further investigations are underway to determine whether the suspect was part of a larger smuggling network involved in the illegal trade of human hair.
