Terrorists Are on Their Last Legs; State Fighting With Full Resolve, Says Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti

Karachi: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens, saying that terrorist elements are “taking their last breaths” and that the state is confronting them with full determination and strength.
Speaking to the media during a visit to the residence of late trader Ali Murtaza, who lost his life in a tragic incident in Dasht, Bugti expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, offered prayers for the deceased, and urged the family to remain steadfast during this difficult time.
The chief minister stressed that ensuring public safety remains the government’s top priority and that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated. He added that while confronting visible enemies is relatively straightforward, operations in “grey zones” present greater challenges, but the state possesses the capability to deal effectively with all security threats.
Bugti criticized what he described as misleading narratives circulating on social media about the Dasht incident, saying that presenting events contrary to the facts not only misguides the public but also creates an unfairly negative image of Balochistan. He urged people to discourage misinformation and promote factual reporting.
He noted that thousands of citizens travel safely across Balochistan’s highways every day, arguing that it would be inappropriate to portray the province’s overall security situation based on a single incident.
The chief minister also assured Ali Murtaza’s family that the provincial government would stand by them. He announced that the Balochistan government would take full responsibility for the upbringing, education, and welfare of the deceased’s daughters.
Bugti reiterated that the government would continue supporting the affected family while intensifying efforts to maintain law and order, safeguard citizens, and eliminate terrorism from the province.
