Impoverished Father Arrives at Multan Graveyard Without Shroud for Son; Police Step In to Help

Multan: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Multan when a financially distressed father brought the body of his young son to a graveyard without a burial shroud, saying he could not afford the funeral expenses.
According to reports, police from the Lohari Gate station rushed to Rashidabad Graveyard after receiving information that a burial was about to take place without a shroud.
The deceased, identified as Danish, was brought to the cemetery by his father, who told police that severe financial hardship had left the family unable to purchase a burial shroud or cover the costs associated with the funeral.
Moved by the family’s circumstances, local police officers personally contributed money to purchase the shroud and arranged the necessary burial expenses.
With the officers’ financial assistance, Danish was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic funeral rites.
Police officials said the deceased’s funeral and burial were completed respectfully after local officers stepped in to support the grieving family, highlighting the humanitarian role played by the police in assisting those facing extreme financial hardship.
