Man Arrested in Karachi for Allegedly Harassing Woman After Viral Video

Karachi: Police have arrested a man accused of allegedly harassing a woman on a public street after a video of the incident circulated widely on social media.

According to police, the suspect has been identified as Muhammad Sajawal, also known as Fayyaz, a resident of Liaquat Chowk. He was arrested by Pakistan Bazaar Police.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi said the viral video showed the suspect allegedly engaging in inappropriate conduct with a female passerby.

Using the footage, police identified and apprehended the suspect. During the arrest, officers also recovered bottles of alcohol from his possession.

Police said the suspect admitted during initial questioning that the incident took place near Rehmat Chowk on the afternoon of June 22, 2026.

A case has been registered against the accused in accordance with the law, and further investigation is underway.
