Father of Karachi Tourist Killed in Balochistan Terror Attack Appeals for Better Civilian Security

Karachi: The father of Karachi businessman Ali Jameel, who was killed in a recent terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Dasht area, has made an emotional appeal to the authorities, questioning the safety of civilians traveling in the province.

Speaking to the media, the grieving father said his son had traveled to Balochistan believing it was a safe part of his own country.

“My son went to Balochistan considering it his own homeland,” he said through tears. He appealed to the government to ensure that no other family experiences a similar tragedy.

The bereaved father said he was not seeking compensation but wanted stronger measures to protect citizens. “My only request is that my son should be the last victim. No other family should lose a loved one in this way,” he said.

He also questioned the effectiveness of security arrangements, saying that if Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan, citizens should be able to travel there safely. He urged the authorities to ensure adequate protection for travelers.

Ali Jameel was among the victims of a recent shooting incident in Dasht, where armed assailants opened fire on civilians. His wife was injured in the attack.

According to initial reports, the family had traveled from Karachi to Quetta for a recreational trip. While returning, they reportedly lost their way after following incorrect directions on Google Maps and entered the area where the shooting took place.

Authorities are investigating the incident, while calls for improved security measures in the region have intensified following the attack.
