PkMAP Launches Public Outreach Campaign, Criticizes Government Over Quetta’s Deteriorating Conditions

Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has announced a province-wide public outreach campaign in Quetta while strongly criticizing the government over what it described as worsening law and order, poor civic infrastructure, and deteriorating public services in the provincial capital.

The decision was made during a meeting of the PkMAP Quetta District Executive Committee, chaired by the party’s Provincial Senior Vice President and Quetta District Secretary, Syed Sharaf Agha, at the party’s central secretariat in Quetta. Provincial President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan and Provincial Office Secretary Malik Umar Kakar also attended the meeting.

Participants reviewed the party’s organizational and political affairs in Quetta district and evaluated the performance reports submitted by district executive members. The meeting decided to complete conferences of several regional units in all four tehsils of Quetta before mid-June, after which preparations for tehsil-level conferences in Sadr, Sariab, City, and Kachlagh would begin.

The party also resolved to implement decisions taken by the provincial committee by launching a comprehensive public outreach campaign across all tehsils, regional units, and primary units of Quetta district. Membership drives, organizational meetings, and political activities will also be intensified to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

A series of joint meetings of regional units has been scheduled, including sessions on June 29, June 30, and July 2 at different locations in Quetta to discuss organizational matters and ensure the implementation of party decisions.

During the meeting, party leaders sharply criticized the provincial government, alleging that Quetta is facing a severe law and order situation marked by rising incidents of theft and robbery, prolonged unannounced electricity load-shedding, gas shortages and low pressure, unemployment, and increasing drug abuse among youth. They also accused the government of neglecting the city’s infrastructure, claiming Quetta had been reduced to “ruins” due to poor governance and deliberate inaction.

The meeting urged party workers to remain committed to the party’s constitution, discipline, and democratic principles. Members were advised to avoid engaging in unproductive political debates and negative campaigns on social media. The leadership also clarified that fake social media accounts using the party’s name or flag have no affiliation with PkMAP.

The party called on its members to use social media responsibly to promote its political message and the vision of its chairman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

The monthly meeting of the PkMAP Quetta District Committee has been scheduled for July 1, 2026, at the party’s central secretariat, with all members directed to ensure their attendance.
