Rulers Display Utmost Irresponsibility Instead of Finding Political Solution to Balochistan’s Worst Unrest: Aslam Baloch
QUETTA – Provincial President and Chairman of the National Party, Aslam Baloch, has stated that Balochistan is plagued by the worst instability and unemployment, and instead of finding a political solution to the crisis, the rulers are displaying extreme irresponsibility.
Addressing the National Party’s weekly meeting in Mastung, Aslam Baloch said that the government has no plan to deal with the severe economic downturn at the national level. Agriculture, livestock, and industries have been destroyed, and now the entire country’s eyes are fixed on Balochistan’s invaluable resources.
He further stated that oppressive taxes on imports and petroleum products have become the sole source of national revenue. Inflation and unemployment have made life unbearable for the people. Instead of effective planning, the rulers are preoccupied with dividing national units into dozens of administrative units, which he termed as illogical and unnecessary.
National Party: The Last Hope
The speakers at the meeting emphasized that the National Party is the only political party that can serve as the last hope to rescue the people of Balochistan from the current worst situation through political democratic struggle. They stressed the need to strengthen the party organization, ensure discipline without compromise, and expand the party’s reach to every household.
District Council Meeting and Weekly Gatherings
The meeting also considered various proposals to make the district council session scheduled for September 13 more effective and reaffirmed the continuation of weekly meetings.
Other leaders who addressed the gathering included Working Committee members Agha Farooq Shah, Nisar Baloch, Samina Zafar, Nazir Ahmed Bugti, Zafar Iqbal Baloch, Rehmatullah Baloch, Zafar Lehri, Imdad Baloch, and Nazir Ahmed Noorzai.
