Barrister Saif Expected to Meet Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI: A key meeting between former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, along with his wife Bushra Bibi, is reportedly expected in Adiala Jail, according to media reports.
Journalist Naeem Ashraf Butt has claimed that prison authorities recently contacted Barrister Saif and informed him that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi wished to meet him. The report further states that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan had earlier conveyed a special message regarding the proposed meeting.
According to the journalist, several senior PTI leaders and some members of Imran Khan’s family are opposed to the meeting. Party insiders reportedly believe that if the meeting takes place, it could lead to significant political developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in Peshawar’s political landscape.
Sources cited in the report claim that a successful meeting could potentially trigger major changes within the provincial party structure. Some party members reportedly believe that the position of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi could come under pressure following any new political understandings that emerge from the discussions.
