Prime Minister Yet to Contact Me Over Gul Plaza Tragedy, Says Murad Ali Shah

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has expressed regret that Prime Minister has not yet contacted him regarding the tragic fire incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi.
In a statement issued from Karachi, Murad Ali Shah said the Gul Plaza fire was a heartbreaking tragedy in which precious lives were lost. He confirmed that one firefighter and five civilians were killed in the incident.
According to the Sindh chief minister, initial investigations suggest that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. He added that the shopping plaza housed more than 1,000 shops, while over 58 people are still reported missing.
Murad Ali Shah stated that rescue and relief operations are ongoing, but lamented that the prime minister has not made any contact so far. He also criticized those who, he said, are politicizing the tragedy.
He further said that he would not pay attention to those spreading chaos and assured that the affected people would be provided relief. The chief minister pledged that efforts would be made to compensate the victims for their losses in a transparent manner.
