Iranian President Pezeshkian Concludes One-Day Visit to Pakistan
Islamabad:** Iranian President **Masoud Pezeshkian** departed for Tehran after completing his one-day official visit to Pakistan.
Field Marshal **Syed Asim Munir**, Deputy Prime Minister **Ishaq Dar**, and other senior Pakistani officials saw the Iranian president off at the airport. On the occasion, President Pezeshkian was presented with a photo album containing highlights of his visit.
President Pezeshkian arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday, where his aircraft landed at **Nur Khan Air Base**. He was warmly received by President **Asif Ali Zardari**, Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif**, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
During the visit, the Iranian president was welcomed at the Prime Minister’s House, where a contingent of the armed forces presented him with a guard of honor. He inspected the guard of honor, while the national anthems of both countries were played.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced members of the federal cabinet to the Iranian president, who in turn introduced members of his delegation to the Pakistani premier. The two leaders also planted a sapling in the lawn of the Prime Minister’s House and offered prayers.
President Pezeshkian held separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments. He also met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to officials, the visit aimed to acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States. During his meetings, President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s role in supporting diplomatic and mediation efforts.
