Crackdown Intensifies Across Balochistan Against Illegal Afghan Nationals, Voluntary Repatriation Underway

QUETTA: Authorities in Balochistan have intensified operations against illegally residing Afghan nationals in Quetta, Chaman, and other districts of the province, while voluntary repatriation has also accelerated, officials said.

According to sources, security forces and relevant departments have expanded search operations in multiple residential areas, carrying out door-to-door checks and verification of identity documents. Individuals lacking valid legal residency papers or holding expired documents are being identified during the ongoing operations.

Officials said that documentation checks are being conducted across Quetta, Chaman, and surrounding districts to verify the legal status of residents. Information regarding suspected illegal foreign nationals is also being collected as part of the crackdown.

Security authorities have further strengthened monitoring at entry and exit points to prevent unlawful movement, while additional surveillance measures have been implemented in sensitive areas.

Following the intensified action, a large number of Afghan nationals have reportedly begun voluntary repatriation to their home country. Some individuals are also being returned through legal procedures under the supervision of relevant authorities.

Additional arrangements have been made at border and transit points to ensure the orderly management of the repatriation process.

Officials said the operations will continue under government policy to enforce immigration laws and improve law and order in the province. Law enforcement agencies, including district administration, police, Levies, and the Frontier Corps, are jointly conducting the operations to ensure compliance and security.
