RIYADH: A Saudi social media blogger has praised the generosity and hospitality of Pakistanis after a light-hearted video about wanting to visit Pakistan unexpectedly prompted hundreds of offers of financial assistance and invitations from people across the country.

According to the blogger, he posted a video on Facebook joking that he wished to travel to Pakistan but could not afford the airfare. In the video, he humorously suggested that anyone interested in sponsoring his trip could ask for his bank account details.

The Saudi national said he expected viewers to laugh off the joke, but was surprised by the overwhelming response he received from Pakistanis.

In a follow-up video, he explained that shortly after uploading the clip, his inbox was flooded with messages from Pakistani men and women asking for his bank account number so they could send money for his airline ticket and travel expenses.

“I was only joking,” the blogger said. “But people kept insisting that they wanted to help me visit Pakistan.”

He recalled telling his followers that he did not actually need any money, only to receive replies saying: “You may be joking, but we are not. Give us your account number and we will bring you to Pakistan.”

The Saudi blogger expressed admiration for the kindness shown by Pakistanis and said their response left a lasting impression on him.

“I always believed that Saudis were among the most hospitable people in the world,” he said. “But after witnessing this generosity, I have to admit that when it comes to hospitality and kindness, Pakistanis are truly among the best.”

He thanked everyone who offered assistance and extended invitations, saying he deeply appreciated the affection and goodwill shown by the Pakistani public.

The blogger added that he plans to visit Pakistan soon using his own resources and is confident that he will receive an even warmer welcome when he arrives.

Concluding his message, he thanked Pakistanis for their love and support and said, “I love you guys,” while expressing excitement about visiting the country in the near future.
