Trump Says He Will Read Iran Agreement “Word for Word” in Press Conference to Ensure Accurate Media Coverage

Washington – Former U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he will present the Iran agreement “word for word” in a press conference so that the media can report it accurately, adding that the United States is not obligated to pay Iran any money.

Speaking in Washington, Trump said that the primary goal of his administration was to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he claimed has been achieved. He added that Iran is seeking to return to normal diplomatic engagement after completing negotiations.

Trump also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be fully open for shipping by Friday, and described recent developments as a positive outcome of U.S. naval operations in the region. He congratulated the U.S. Navy for what he called the successful “containment” of Iran.

He further said that Iran had been the biggest obstacle to the Abraham Accords and expressed hope that more countries would join the agreement in the future once tensions ease.

Trump reiterated that the United States is under no obligation to provide financial payments to Iran, and announced that he would soon hold a detailed press conference where he would publicly read the Iran agreement in full to ensure transparency.

He also criticized the previous Obama-era nuclear deal, calling it a “very bad agreement” that could have led the Middle East toward destruction and potentially enabled Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.

In contrast, Trump said his proposed arrangement is designed to act as a strong barrier against nuclear proliferation, preventing Iran from developing nuclear capabilities.
