Balochistan Budget for FY 2026–27 to Be Presented on June 17 Amid Tightened Security
Quetta: The budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2026–27 will be presented in the Balochistan Assembly on June 17, following a session summoned by the Governor of Balochistan, Jafar Mandokhail.
According to an official notification issued by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Finance Minister Shuaib Nosherwani will present the annual budget and supplementary budget before the house.
In view of security concerns, strict arrangements have been put in place. The Assembly Secretariat has announced that only authorized cardholders (passes) will be allowed entry for government officials, staff, and media representatives.
Furthermore, in light of the prevailing situation, a complete ban has been imposed on the entry of general visitors as well as armed security guards, both public and private, into the Assembly premises.
The Secretariat stated that the enhanced security measures are aimed at ensuring a safe and orderly budget session.
