Allegations of Child Sexual Abuse by Militants Surface in North Waziristan

Islamabad: Allegations of child sexual abuse by militants have emerged from the Plangzai area of North Waziristan following a military operation conducted by Pakistani security forces.
According to a child rescued during the operation, several minors were being held at a militant facility. The child claimed that he, along with three to four other children, was subjected to sexual abuse by members of the group.
The rescued child further stated that many of the militants at the facility were Afghan nationals. He also revealed that after the death of his father, he was moved through various locations before eventually ending up in the militants’ custody.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the allegations. The claims are expected to be investigated as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations in the region.
