Ending Child Labour a Social Responsibility: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta (Kudrat Daily) — Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, in his message on the International Day Against Child Labour, said that child labour is a serious social issue that not only deprives children of their fundamental rights but also hinders their education, health, and brighter future.

He stated that it is the responsibility of the state to provide every child with equal opportunities for education, protection, health, and development. The Balochistan government is taking practical steps for the protection of children’s rights and the elimination of child labour so that no child becomes a victim of poverty, compulsion, or exploitation.

The Chief Minister said that educating children instead of engaging them in labour is the foundation of a developed and prosperous society. The government of Balochistan is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children through educational facilities, social protection programs, and awareness campaigns.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti urged parents, teachers, social organizations, the private sector, and all relevant institutions to play their full role in eliminating child labour and ensuring educational and developmental opportunities for children.

He said that the protection, education, and welfare of children are a collective responsibility, and society must work together to create an environment where every child can confidently move towards fulfilling their dreams and a bright future.
