Balochistan CM Orders Probe into Wahdat Colony Tragedy, Seeks Detailed Report

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has ordered a detailed investigation into the tragic Wahdat Colony incident involving the alleged suicide of a man identified as Asif Ali and the killing of five individuals, directing authorities to submit a comprehensive report on the matter.
According to Balochistan Chief Minister’s aide Shahid Rind, a transparent and thorough inquiry has been launched on the instructions of the chief minister to determine the facts surrounding the incident.
Shahid Rind stated that two suspected officials have been taken into custody in light of a video statement reportedly recorded by the deceased, Asif Ali, prior to the incident.
He said all aspects of the case are being examined impartially and emphasized that no individual found responsible would be considered above the law.
“The chief minister has sought a detailed report, and the investigation will be taken to its logical conclusion,” Shahid Rind said.
He further assured that the government would ensure the provision of justice and make the facts of the case public. He added that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found involved in the incident in accordance with the law.
The Balochistan government has reiterated its commitment to a transparent investigation and accountability for all those responsible.
