Anti-Polio Campaign to Begin in Balochistan Tomorrow
Quetta:** A province-wide anti-polio campaign is set to begin in Balochistan from tomorrow, targeting millions of children under the age of five.
According to Inam ul Haq, Coordinator of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), more than 2.66 million children will be administered polio drops during the campaign.
He added that children will also receive Vitamin A supplements alongside the polio vaccination to boost immunity.
Inam ul Haq noted that no polio cases have been reported in Balochistan so far this year. However, the presence of the virus has been detected in environmental samples, indicating a continued risk.
Health authorities have urged parents to fully cooperate with vaccination teams to ensure all eligible children are protected against the disease.
