Balochistan Assembly Session on April 13 to Take Up Key Bills Including Anti-Beggary and Overseas Commission

Quetta: The 19th session of the 12th Balochistan Provincial Assembly has been summoned for Monday, April 13, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the assembly secretariat, with a comprehensive agenda focusing on legislation, calling attention notices, and public interest matters. The agenda was issued by Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar.
The session will begin with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the question hour, during which queries related to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) and the Livestock Department will be addressed.
Member of Provincial Assembly Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch is expected to present an important calling attention notice regarding delays in sending fishermen from Gwadar to South Korea. He will question the Minister for Labour and Manpower on why, despite completion of training and documentation, the fishermen have not yet been dispatched and when the government plans to facilitate their departure.
Significant legislative developments are also anticipated during the session. The Standing Committee on Social Welfare will present the “Balochistan Anti-Beggary Bill 2025” for approval. Additionally, the Labour and Manpower Department will table the “Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) Amendment Bill 2026” and the “Balochistan Overseas Pakistanis Commission Bill 2026.”
According to the agenda, the S&GAD will also introduce the “Balochistan Service Tribunal Amendment Bill 2026,” while the provincial education minister will present the “Balochistan Universities Amendment Bill 2026.” The house will be requested to grant exemption from procedural rules to allow immediate consideration and passage of the universities bill.
The assembly secretariat has directed all members to ensure timely attendance for the session.
