Former Minister Faisal Vawda Accuses Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur of Serious Allegations
Islamabad: Former Federal Minister and current Senator Faisal Vawda has leveled serious allegations against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, questioning the integrity of appointing someone with pending allegations of corruption to such a high position.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Vawda can be seen discussing the issue with journalists. He criticized Gandapur, stating, “If someone cannot accept their own children, how can they accept a father?” Vawda recalled Gandapur’s past assertions about being untouchable, highlighting that those claims had been proven false as he faced legal consequences.
Vawda urged not to resort to personal attacks, emphasizing the importance of respecting women who work hard for their livelihoods. He stated, “When you place someone with allegations of corruption in such a position, what does that leave for others?”
While he expressed that he has never supported Maryam Nawaz’s politics, he made it clear that any disrespect towards his or any political adversary’s family would not be tolerated. “It’s a matter of honor, and the government should take action,” he remarked.
Furthermore, Vawda criticized the government’s handling of the Interior Ministry, questioning the purpose of government resources like helicopters. He asserted his commitment to working on merit and stated, “I will not let Pakistan become a mere cricket team, even if I stand alone.”
This exchange highlights ongoing tensions within Pakistani politics and raises questions about accountability and governance.
