Captain (Retd) Safdar Says Nawaz Sharif Seeks Public Welfare for ‘Reward in the Hereafter’

Gilgit: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar has said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is committed to serving the nation and often says that he wants to improve the lives of the people so that he may be rewarded in the hereafter.

Addressing party workers during an election campaign event in Gilgit-Baltistan, Captain Safdar said Nawaz Sharif frequently emphasizes accountability before God and his responsibility toward the people of Pakistan.

According to Safdar, Nawaz Sharif has told his family: “Listen, my children, if I have earned even one rupee through unlawful means, then do not attend my funeral.” Safdar said the former premier believes that the authority entrusted to him by Allah carries a responsibility for which he will be answerable on the Day of Judgment.

The PML-N leader also reiterated his longstanding support for Nawaz Sharif, describing him as a key figure in Pakistan’s development and progress.

Safdar claimed that the country’s stability and economic advancement are closely linked to the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N. He argued that Pakistan would struggle to move forward without a PML-N government over the next decade.

Praising Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Safdar said the country currently needs experienced leadership and that Shehbaz Sharif has demonstrated through his hard work and governance abilities that he can effectively run the system.

He further expressed confidence that the PML-N would return to power in the future, stating that the party’s leadership remains essential for the country’s continued progress.

The remarks were made during the ongoing election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan, where political parties are actively canvassing for support ahead of upcoming polls.
