Trump Says Time Has Come for a Deal with Iran, Dismisses Reports of Halted Talks
WASHINGTON:** U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he has urged Iran to reach an agreement, stressing that the time has come for both sides to strike a deal.
In a statement, Trump said that Iran can no longer be allowed to continue policies and actions that, according to him, have persisted for the past 47 years.
The U.S. president also rejected reports claiming that talks between the United States and Iran had been suspended, describing such reports as false and baseless.
Trump stated that communication between Washington and Tehran remains ongoing and that discussions have not been interrupted.
However, he acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the negotiations, saying that no one can predict how the talks will ultimately progress or what outcome they may produce.
His remarks come amid continued diplomatic efforts to address tensions between the two countries and ongoing discussions over issues related to Iran’s nuclear program and regional security.
