Trump Hails Iran Agreement as ‘Historic Deal’, Says Strait of Hormuz to Reopen After Ceasefire Signing

U.S. President Donald Trump has described the newly reached agreement with Iran as a “great deal” that will help ensure peace and stability across the Middle East.

In a message posted on social media, Trump said that several previous U.S. presidents had attempted to establish peace with Iran but were unsuccessful. He claimed that the latest breakthrough represents the first genuine step toward lasting peace between the two sides.

Trump further announced that, under the terms of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be officially reopened to maritime traffic, allowing global trade and shipping activities to resume. He stated that the strategic waterway is expected to reopen on Friday following the signing of a formal ceasefire agreement.

According to Trump, the deal is aimed at reducing regional tensions, restoring security, and supporting economic stability by ensuring the uninterrupted flow of international commerce through one of the world’s most important shipping routes.
