Arab Media Report Claims India’s 10-Year Effort to Isolate Pakistan Has Failed

DOHA:An Arab media report has claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decade-long campaign to diplomatically isolate Pakistan has not succeeded.
According to a report cited by Al Jazeera, the 2016 announcement by Modi that India would work to isolate Pakistan globally has “largely failed.”
The report states that Pakistan is now maintaining active diplomatic engagement with major global powers including the United States, China, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, positioning itself as an influential regional stakeholder in South Asian and broader geopolitical affairs.
It further claims that during the 2025 Pakistan-India tensions, Pakistan gained an advantage in the international narrative, with global actors reportedly not accepting Indian allegations regarding the Pahalgam incident without evidence.
The report also references comments attributed to former U.S. President Donald Trump, describing a Pakistani military figure as an “extraordinary personality,” while suggesting differences emerged between Washington and New Delhi over ceasefire credit claims.
Additionally, it highlights Pakistan’s strengthening ties with China, describing their partnership as a “durable strategic relationship,” and notes improved relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh following political changes in Dhaka.
The report concludes that Pakistan is emerging as a significant security and diplomatic partner for Gulf countries, while also suggesting that India’s international image has been affected by its domestic and regional policies.
Neither the Indian nor Pakistani governments immediately issued a formal response to the report’s claims.
