Protest by Peoples Bus Drivers Ends After Talks in Karachi, Traffic Restored

Karachi: A protest staged by drivers of the Peoples Bus Service near Tower in Karachi ended after successful negotiations with police, restoring traffic flow in the area.

According to police officials, the incident began when a Peoples Bus collided with a motorcycle ridden by a police officer who was traveling with his family. Following the accident, a heated argument broke out between the bus driver and the police officer.

Police said the officer later called fellow personnel to the scene, after which the bus driver was allegedly subjected to violence.

In response to the alleged assault, Peoples Bus Service drivers launched a protest near Tower, causing major traffic disruptions in the surrounding areas.

Authorities stated that negotiations between police and the protesters were successful, leading to the restoration of traffic and the peaceful dispersal of the demonstrators.
