Healthcare Facilities in Gwadar Reviewed, Steps Taken to Improve Medical Services

Gwadar: Under the public-friendly vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services, District Health Officer Gwadar Dr. Yasir Tahir, along with Deputy DHO Dr. Farooq Baloch, conducted a detailed visit to Rural Health Center (RHC) Sarmbandan and CD Babur Shor.

During the visit, the officials reviewed ongoing medical services, availability of medicines, functionality of medical equipment, and facilities being provided to patients.

Upon arrival at RHC Sarmbandan, the medical staff briefed the DHO on the overall performance of the hospital, existing challenges, and ongoing healthcare services. Dr. Yasir Tahir later inspected various departments including the dental unit, OPD, wards, and medical store.

He reviewed cleanliness conditions, availability of medicines, functionality of medical equipment, and staff attendance, directing that timely and quality healthcare services must be ensured for the public at all costs.

During the visit, Dr. Yasir Tahir also met doctors, paramedical staff, and local representatives to discuss hospital issues and improvements in healthcare services.

On the occasion, essential medicines were provided, while the condition of the ambulance service was also reviewed. The DHO stated that the ambulance would soon be made functional for public use.

Furthermore, a water dispenser was provided for patients and attendants to ensure access to clean and cold drinking water. It was also decided to provide an X-ray machine and other essential medical equipment to RHC Sarmbandan to improve diagnostic facilities at the local level.

District Health Officer Gwadar Dr. Yasir Tahir said that providing quality and modern healthcare services to the public is the top priority of the health department. He added that, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, practical steps will continue to improve healthcare facilities so that citizens can receive better services at their doorstep.
