Pressure on Iran Will Continue Until Agreement Is Reached, Says Donald Trump

Islamabad (Kudrat Daily) — US President Donald Trump has said that pressure on Iran will continue until a final agreement is reached, adding that he is considering a broad revival of “Project Freedom” to ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview with an American television channel, Trump stated that no final decision has yet been made regarding the complete restoration of Project Freedom, but discussions are underway to expand the initiative beyond maritime security operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

He expressed confidence that Iran would eventually surrender and agree to a deal, but stressed that pressure on Tehran would remain in place until then.

Trump also claimed that Iranian negotiators want the United States to help remove enriched uranium because, according to him, Iran lacks the full technical capability to manage it safely.

Later, while speaking to media representatives at the White House, Trump strongly criticized Iran’s proposed ceasefire plan, calling it “foolish and unacceptable.”

He said the current ceasefire arrangement was in a “very weak condition” and could collapse at any moment. Explaining the situation, Trump compared it to a critically ill patient with very slim chances of survival.

According to the US president, tensions between Iran and the United States have entered an extremely sensitive stage where the situation could change rapidly at any time.

Trump rejected Iran’s recent peace proposal, saying it failed to provide a clear guarantee that Tehran would not develop nuclear weapons, making the proposal unacceptable from the American perspective.

He added that uncertainty surrounding the issue continues to cast doubt over the future of any ceasefire agreement.

Earlier, Trump had also rejected Iran’s response to a US-backed proposal aimed at ending the conflict, describing Tehran’s reply as “completely unacceptable.”

According to media reports, Iran presented an alternative proposal seeking compensation for war damages and recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump had previously stated that Iran had been “playing games with the world” for the past 47 years, but claimed that it would no longer be able to do so.
