China Cuts Fuel Prices for First Time Amid Global Oil Market Shifts

Beijing: China has reduced petrol and diesel prices for the first time following fluctuations in global oil markets linked to tensions involving Iran, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
As reported by BBC Urdu, the price cut will provide relief to drivers, with an estimated saving of around $3 on a 50-liter tank of 92-octane petrol.
The move comes after Beijing had repeatedly increased fuel prices since the onset of the Iran-US conflict, reflecting volatility in international energy markets.
Officials said the adjustment is in line with recent changes in global oil prices, aiming to balance domestic fuel costs with international trends.
