Public Frustration Over Insecurity in Pishin, All-Parties Protest March Demands Action Against Lawlessness

Pishin: Growing insecurity, rising incidents of target killings, and worsening law and order situation in Pishin have triggered a strong public reaction, as an All-Parties protest march and sit-in was staged against alleged administrative failure.

The protest was organized by a broad coalition of political parties, trader associations, and the legal community. Participants included leaders from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Awami National Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan Peoples Party, traders’ bodies, and the District Bar Association.

The protest march began from Khushal Khan Road and concluded outside the Deputy Commissioner Complex, where a large demonstration was held. Speakers strongly criticized the deteriorating security situation in the district.

Addressing the gathering, leaders including Maulana Sahibzada Kamaluddin, Umar Khan Tareen, Muhammad Isa Roshan, Haji Asghar Ali Tareen, Shah Nawaz Kharal, Malik Shaukat Ali Kakar, and others expressed deep concern over increasing violence and alleged administrative incompetence.

They said the unanimous participation of all political and social forces sent a clear message that the people of Pishin would no longer compromise on the protection of their lives and rights. They described the situation as a collective struggle for the dignity and survival of the region.

The speakers highlighted several recent incidents, including killings in Yaro, the Ajwa Hotel incident, the murder of two youths in Pishin city, and the disappearance of Kaleemullah Achakzai, saying these events have created widespread fear and insecurity among residents.

They also raised concerns over the open display of weapons by individuals entering Pishin from other areas, demanding immediate and effective government action to restore law and order.

Expressing solidarity with the families of victims, the protesters urged authorities to arrest the perpetrators and ensure justice. They emphasized that no compromise would be made on public safety.

Following the protest, an All-Parties delegation held talks with Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Ahmed Qazi, SP Athar Rasheed, and other officials. The administration assured protesters that all possible steps would be taken to improve security, curb criminal activities, and protect public life and property.

Participants reiterated their commitment to continue joint efforts for lasting peace in Pishin, stressing that unity among political, tribal, and social groups is essential to restore stability in the region.
