Two Police Personnel, Including First Female Martyr Constable Malik Naz, Shaheed in Khuzdar Gunfight; Several Injured
Khuzdar: In an exchange of fire near Khuzdar during an operation against criminal elements, Police Lady Constable Malik Naz embraced martyrdom, while another police official was also killed and several personnel were injured.
According to officials, the incident occurred when law enforcement teams launched action against suspected criminals in the area, which resulted in intense firing.
Assistant Chief Minister Shahid Rind strongly condemned the incident, stating that Lady Constable Malik Naz set a new example of bravery and duty by sacrificing her life for public safety.
He confirmed that Head Constable Samiullah was also martyred in the incident, while the injured personnel are receiving immediate medical treatment.
Shahid Rind said that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has launched an investigation into the incident and assured that those involved will be brought to justice. He added that operations against anti-peace elements will continue without interruption and state authority will be upheld at all costs.
He further revealed that the family of Shaheed Malik Naz has a history of sacrifice, as her husband, who served in the Levies Force, was also martyred in a targeted killing incident. The martyred officer has left behind three young children.
The provincial government reiterated its commitment to stand by the families of martyrs and provide them full support. Shahid Rind emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain and all available resources will be utilized to ensure peace and stability in the province.
