One Terrorist Killed, Another Arrested in Injured Condition During Security Operation in Mastung; One Soldier Martyred, Four Injured
Quetta: A security operation in the Dasht Kambila area of Mastung resulted in the killing of one terrorist and the arrest of another in injured condition after an exchange of fire with security forces.
According to security sources, the operation was launched after intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. As security forces began a search operation, the terrorists opened fire and also used improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during the attack.
Security forces responded effectively, killing one terrorist on the spot while another was arrested in injured condition. A motorcycle was also recovered from the suspects.
During the exchange of fire, one personnel of the Pakistan Security Forces was martyred while four others sustained injuries.
In a separate development, the funeral prayer of the martyred soldier was offered in Quetta, after which he was laid to rest with full military honors.
