US Lawmaker Criticizes Trump, Calls for Accountability Over Alleged Iran Incident

Washington: Democratic Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has strongly criticized US President Donald Trump, claiming he is “unfit for office” and poses a risk to national security.
According to international media reports, Ansari accused Trump of lacking the mental stability required to lead and expressed concern over his role in shaping US policy.
She also announced that a motion has been submitted seeking the impeachment of US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Ansari alleged that Hegseth was involved in a bombing incident in Iran’s Minab region, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of around 160 children, describing it as a potential war crime.
The Democratic lawmaker further stated that Hegseth should be held accountable for deviating from constitutional limits.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the incident, calling it a major human tragedy and questioning whether global leaders still possess a sense of humanity.
No official response from the White House or the US Department of Defense has been reported regarding these allegations.
