US Publication Praises Pakistan’s ‘Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq’ as Effective Counterterror Strategy

Islamabad: A leading American publication, The Washington Times, has published a detailed analysis of Pakistan’s “Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq,” describing it as an effective strategy against cross-border threats.

According to the report, the operation highlights Pakistan’s capability to precisely target terrorist elements based in Afghanistan, particularly groups referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and their facilitators.

The publication noted that the operations have achieved tactical successes while ensuring minimal civilian casualties, reflecting a measured and calculated military approach.

The analysis further stated that Pakistan is not relying solely on military action but is also employing diplomacy, political strategy, and economic measures as part of a comprehensive policy aimed at achieving long-term regional stability.

Praising the leadership of Asim Munir, the report commended the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces, stating that the العمليات are not only disrupting terrorist networks but also creating a conducive environment for governance and diplomatic engagement.

According to the التقرير, around 180 terrorist hideouts and more than 30 تجمع points have been destroyed so far, while improved border control measures have helped curb illegal cross-border movement.

The publication also emphasized that Pakistan does not seek regime change in Afghanistan and maintains that the future of the country should be determined by the Afghan people themselves.

It added that under the National Action Plan, strengthening civilian counterterrorism institutions and depoliticizing internal security frameworks could help transform military gains into lasting peace.

The Washington Times concluded that Pakistan’s integrated approach—combining military action, diplomacy, and social measures—offers a balanced alternative to more coercive strategies seen elsewhere in the world.
