Baloch Solidarity Committee Condemns Recent Killings and Appeals for International Intervention

Quetta:The spokesperson for the Baloch Solidarity Committee has condemned the recent killings of a young man from Turbat, Zakir Baloch, and an innocent girl, Sitara Shabeer, in Mastung and Awaran, respectively. The committee described these murders as part of the ongoing cycle of violence in Balochistan that has persisted for the past seven decades. They claim that this violence is directly perpetrated by forces responsible for the brutal killings of Baloch youth, including those who are found dead in mutilated conditions or killed in staged encounters.

The spokesperson highlighted that the brutality and oppression in Balochistan have led to daily mourning across the region, from Koh-Sulaiman to Makran. Just last week, the blood of three Baloch youths killed during Baloch Raaji had not yet dried when the bodies of Sitara Shabeer and Zakir Baloch were reported. The Baloch Solidarity Committee stated that Balochistan is currently undergoing a humanitarian crisis and that the Baloch people are facing a severe threat of genocide.

The committee has called upon human rights organizations and the United Nations to take immediate action to halt this genocide and protect the lives of millions of people.
